As many celebrate Canada Day, a family of six is fighting to stay in Canada. The Lindo family came to Canada from Jamaica five years ago, after George Lindo faced political persecution and repeated attempts on his life. Their claim for humanitarian and compassionate grounds has been denied.

George's son Tamarri is a track and field standout at York University, and is currently competing to qualify for Canada's Olympic team. The deportation threatens to end his Olympic hopes.
